What YesWeSure collects when you use the site, how it is used, who it is shared with, and how to reach us.

Who runs this site

YesWeSure is an independent consumer finance research and comparison platform operated at yeswesure.com. We are not an insurance company: we do not underwrite, price, or issue policies. When you request a quote, we pass your request to licensed carriers or their agents, who then handle the sale directly.

What we collect

We collect three categories of information: cookies set in your browser, information you enter into a quote form, and anonymised page-interaction signals used to measure the site.

Cookies

We set three first-party cookies. We do not set these cookies on organic visits unless you interact with a tracking link or submit the quote form.

  • yws_v: a visitor identifier. Set only when you arrive via a tracking link. Lifetime up to 365 days.
  • yws_s: a session identifier used to tie page views within a visit. Lifetime up to 30 minutes of idle.
  • yws_a: an attribution record. Captures the partner slug, campaign slug, tracking-link slug, UTM parameters (source, medium, campaign, term, content), click identifiers (gclid, fbclid, msclkid), optional sub-identifiers (subid1 through subid5), and the first referring URL. Lifetime up to 30 days.

Quote-form information

If you start a quote on /insurance/auto/quotes, we collect, in order of the funnel steps: ZIP code; vehicle year, make, model, and primary use; the primary driver's age, marital status, homeownership status, and driving history; desired coverage level, current-insurance status, and (optionally) current carrier; and finally first name, last name, email address, and phone number. We also record the consent text you accepted, the version of that text, and the time of acceptance.

Page-interaction signals

Pages that include provider cards, verdict cards, comparison rows, or prominent calls to action may fire a one-time impression beacon navigator.sendBeacon request to our own API when the component becomes visible. The beacon payload records what was shown and where, not who you are. If the beacon fails, we do nothing.

How we use it

  • To match your quote request with licensed carriers that can serve your situation.
  • To attribute visits to marketing sources so we can measure which channels send us real research traffic.
  • To measure which editorial pages and comparison modules actually help shoppers so we can improve them.
  • To meet legal, regulatory, and audit obligations.

Who we share it with

When you submit the final step of the quote form and accept the on-screen consent, we send the information you entered to licensed insurance carriers or their agents so they can prepare a quote and contact you. That consent language appears on the submit step of the quote form and includes the exact permissions you are granting (contact by phone, text, and email at the details you provided, including via automated technology). You are not required to request a quote; nothing on the site requires you to submit personal information to read our editorial content.

We do not sell your personal information to data brokers. We do not rent, lease, or trade the information you enter into the quote form for independent commercial purposes. Our paid-partner relationships with carriers are disclosed on /how-we-make-money.

Your choices

You can clear YesWeSure cookies at any time through your browser. Clearing yws_a removes attribution; clearing yws_v and yws_s resets visitor and session identifiers. If you have requested a quote and want to withdraw a submission, contact us at the email below so we can relay the withdrawal to the carriers that received it.

How to contact us about your data

Email privacy@yeswesure.com for any request related to the information we hold about you, including a request to access, correct, or delete it. We will respond in a reasonable timeframe and may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Changes to this notice

We will update this page when our data practices change. The date at the top of the page reflects the most recent review.
